1 Stop Diabetic Insurance

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

This policy explains what information we collect when you use 1stopdiabeticinsurance.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. 1 Stop Diabetic Insurance is a service of Scott Zimmerman, Licensed Insurance Agent, licensed in all 50 states (NPN 1300464). When we say "we," "us," or "the agency," we mean this business.

We keep this simple on purpose. If anything here is unclear, call or email us and a real person will explain it.

1. What we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out the "Request a Quote" form, we collect:

If you call, email, or text us, we also keep the information you share in that conversation so we can help you.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers receive your IP address when the font files are requested.

We also use the following tools to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising:

You can opt out of advertising tracking by using your browser's privacy settings, turning on your browser's Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, or by adjusting the ad preferences inside your Facebook or Instagram account. If you have questions about either tool, email us and we will explain in plain English.

2. How we use your information

We use what you give us for one main purpose: to shop insurance coverage on your behalf. That includes:

The information you submit is not protected health information under HIPAA. We are an insurance agency, not a health care provider. We still treat it with care and use it only for the purposes above.

3. Who we share it with

We share your information only when it is needed to do the job you asked us to do, or when the law requires it:

4. We do not sell your information

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not trade lead lists.

5. Your consent to be contacted

When you check the consent box on our form, you agree that 1 Stop Diabetic Insurance and its licensed agents (agency owner: Scott Zimmerman) may contact you by phone, text message, or email at the number and address you gave us, about insurance options. This may include calls or texts made with an automatic dialing system and prerecorded or artificial voice messages.

A few important points:

6. How to opt out

We will honor your request promptly. If you have an active application or policy with us, we may still need to contact you about that policy.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as we need it to handle your request and, if you buy a policy, to service it. Insurance record-keeping rules in most states require agents to keep application and policy records for a set number of years, so we keep those records for as long as those rules require. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. Security

Our website uses HTTPS, which encrypts information between your browser and our site. Form submissions are stored by our hosting provider using industry-standard protections. We limit who at the agency can see your information. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never happen, but we work to protect what you give us.

9. Children

This site is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

This section is for California residents, but the answer is the same for everyone: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If you would still like to submit a "do not sell or share" request, or ask a question about it, you can:

We will confirm your request and honor it. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out request where it is technically possible for us to detect them.

11. Your state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, state law may give you rights over your personal information. This includes residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and a growing number of other states. Where these rights apply, you may have the right to:

To make a request, email or call us using the contact details at the bottom of this page. We may ask for enough information to confirm it is really you before we act on the request. If we deny a request, we will tell you why, and in most states you can appeal by writing to us again with the word "Appeal" in the subject line.

Note that insurance information is often covered by separate state insurance privacy laws, which may limit some of these rights. We will explain if that applies to your request.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add analytics tools or change a service provider. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on the site.
